Fluid coupling
A fluid coupling, also called a hydraulic coupling, is mainly used in applications where a controlled boot without shock load is essential. They are used in many industrial applications where rotational power plays a role, and offer a solution for motors and machines that do not have to start at high speed. These couplings ensure that the torque is transmitted through fluid flow, which results in a controlled startup and a greatly improved engine life.
